Robert F. Yeager, 92 of Malcolm, NE, entered into rest on Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Lincoln.  Robert was born on May 17, 1921 in Meadville, PA to George and Blanche (Foreman) Yeager.  He lived in Meadville, PA area until entering the Army Signal Corps at the age of nineteen.  Robert retired from the U.S. Air Force with a rank of Major.  Through his career, Robert was a bombardier navigator on a B-26 Bomber and during WWII he was a prisoner-of-war in Spremberg, Germany for 10 months.  Robert was a proud veteran and on May 14, 1999 he was awarded the Purple Heart.

After Robert’s military career, he was employed as a postal worker, a practicing CPA, the State Accountant and Social Security Administrator for Gov. Norbert Tiemann, and owned and operated Bob’s Market in Valparaiso, NE.  On September 10, 1966, Robert was united in marriage to Wilma Osmera at Fairhill Presbyterian Church in Lincoln.

Robert was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lincoln.  He was a member of the Valparaiso American Legion Post #371.  Robert was a Mason and a Shriner.  He was an avid coin collector, loved golfing, and most of all he loved his family.

Robert is survived by wife of 47 years, Wilma (Milacek) Yeager; children, Ken (Cher) Yeager of Jacksonville, FL; Carolyn “Osmera” (Dick) Garner of Lincoln; Kathy “Osmera” (Bob) Kliment of Valparaiso; grandchildren, Mike (Mary Jane) Garner of Broken Bow; Mark Garner of Lincoln; Amanda Garner (Chris Swihart) of Lincoln; Jeff (Miranda) Kliment of Valparaiso; Jennifer (Jim) Woita of Malmo; Corina Marin of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Anne Marie, Tyrel, and Yance Garner of Broken Bow; Dustin, Tanner, and Cameron Woita of Malmo; Mikayla Garner of Lincoln; Ben and Morgan Kliment of Valparaiso; several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by twin brother, Ralph; brother, Franklin; sisters, Dorothy and Eileen.

Pallbearers are Mike Garner, Mark Garner, Tyrel Garner, Jim Woita, Dustin Woita, and Jeff Kliment.
