Robert Lee Duckworth, 77 of Omaha, formerly of Wahoo, died July 4, 2013 at the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home in Bellevue, NE. Robert was born May 29, 1936 in Iowa City, IA to Leland and Rose Duckworth. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne during the Korean Conflict for four years until he was honorable discharged. Robert had a long career with the Iron Workers Union, Local 21 and 433 in California until he retired in 1991.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Clara and his parents.
He is survived by children, Tracey (John) Stuchlik of Weston, Troy (Barbara) Duckworth of Wahoo, Tye (Corrina) Duckworth of Wahoo, TearSa (Mark) Said of Wilmington, NC; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Ivan) Schaal of Phoenix, AZ, Bonnie (Ken) Knudsen of Grand Prairie, TX, Billie Jo (Denny) Koch of Neligh, NE; several nieces and nephews.
