Rosemary E. Shanahan, 88 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Wahoo. She was born November 22, 1926 in Wahoo to Emil and Frances (Vybiral) Dolezal. Rosemary graduated from Wahoo High School in 1942. On June 3, 1947, she was united in marriage to Al Shanahan at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo.

She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church where she led the Folk Choir for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the VFW Post #4502 Auxiliary. Through the years, Rosemary taught many children guitar lessons.

She is survived by children, Cindy Ullery of Wahoo and Mike (Joy) Shanahan of Columbus, NE; grandchildren, Christopher Ullery, Joshua (Marika) Ullery, Gini Ullery, Meghan (Brian) Camp, Alison Kitt, Patrick (Elizabeth) Shanahan; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Sheila) Dolezal of Rexford, NY; many other family members and friends.

Preceded in death by husband, Al Shanahan and daughter, Kathy Shanahan.

Rev. Charles Townsend and Msgr. Adrian Herbek will be the concelebrants.

    The world has lost a great and loving person. Kathleen “Katie”, Willie, Marika and I were blessed to be able to spend time with here over the last few years. We are going to miss you “Hibachan”
