Sharon K. Spicka, 75 of Wahoo, NE entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Saunders Medical Center Long Term Care in Wahoo.  She was born November 22, 1948 in Wahoo, NE to Edwin and Marie (Ratkovec) Kucera.  She attended District 113 Country School and graduated from Weston High School in 1966.  During high school she worked at Hakel’s.

Sharon retired from Saunders County Care Center as a ward clerk after 35 years.  She also worked for Security Mutual Insurance, JFK College, and had an in-home day care when her girls were at home.

She was a devoted member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, and a member of Prolife and Mother’s Club.  She enjoyed church activities, puzzles, word games but most of all she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.  She knew every activity her grandchildren were involved in and never missed any of the activities.  She loved baking and cooking for her family.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Daniel Spicka; daughters, Mary Jo (Tony) Lierman of Colon, NE, Lori (Jon) Hattan of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Cade, Addison, Oakley & McKinley Lierman, Elizabeth Mazour, Tatum, Tessa, Tamaya, Treycen Hattan, Tynleigh, Tegan, Torianna Brockman; great-grandchildren, Landon & Waylon; siblings, Sandy Vlcan, Gary Kucera; brothers & sisters-in law, Ron (Gladys) Spicka, Jim (Deanne) Spicka, John (Darlene) Spicka, Dave (Kathy) Spicka; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Marie Kucera; infant brother, Dwaine; infant grandson, Tobias.
