Sharon Kay Stoakes, Age 80, of Omaha, Nebraska entered into rest on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023. She was surrounded by the love of her family during the last storm she would have to weather. Sharon was born on November 3, 1941, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Pete and Maxine Osterloh. She went to Mead High where she met the love of her life, Norman Lee Stoakes. She excelled in sports and was a natural athlete. She later married Norman on September 23, 1961, and they were married for over 50 years.

Sharon worked as a supervisor at Farmers Union for over 20 years until retirement. She loved to visit Colorado every summer with her family where she enjoyed shopping in Boulder and Estes Park. In her spare time, she competed in bowling competitions where she won many accolades and found herself in the Nebraska Bowling Hall of Fame. She is a member of the elite “700” Club with a high series of 757. She enjoyed working with her son in raising money for various charities, such as the Puppy Pageant and CASA.  Sharon was a determined soul and liked to do things her own way. She took great passion in bowling, gardening, and her favorite singer was Elvis. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she was an excellent prankster. She had a recent love for westerns and decorating shows.

Sharon was a totem of support for her entire family. She gave endless support to her husband in his businesses, Prairie Golf and Superior Metal. She was a dedicated crowd goer in her granddaughters’ sporting and educational events. She will forever be missed as a sassy mom, grandma and GG who always kept us on our toes. She is loved always, to the moon and back.
