Terry P. Purcell, 70, of Mead, NE, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Lincoln, NE.  He was born May 9, 1947 in Borger, TX to J.T. and Lorena (Foster) Purcell.  Following high school, Terry went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army.  On January 20, 1978, he was married to Sandi Stoakes in Papillion, NE.

Terry enjoyed working as a truck driver for many years until he became disabled.  He was very active in AA and on January 5, 2018 he celebrated his 35th AA birthday.  Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, reading western books, playing board games and cards.  He was frequently seen handing out candy to people and wearing his Oklahoma Sooners hat, which was his favorite team.

He is survived by wife of 40 years, Sandi Purcell; sister, Pam Hepenspurger; many nieces and nephews; and dog, Trouble.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Lorena Purcell.

    My Dearest Sandi.Betsy my wife and I are so saddened to hear of your loss.I never knew Terry ,but I have no doubt that we would have been very close .We shared so many things in life ,especially AA.The program that God gave us to live by.We send are love and heart felt prayers to you and the family at this time.Sincerely Ryan And Betsy McDuffee.milliken colo.
