In Care of the Family for Future Designation

Virginia Lee Bechdoldt, 76, of Prague, NE, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Vine Street Baptist Church in Lincoln. Pastor Bob Kilpatrick will officiate the service.

Virginia was born on April 28, 1938 to Carl and Ollie Thompson in Omaha, NE. She was raised and received her education in Omaha and later graduated from the Sacramento Adult School in 1968. She was united in marriage to Billy Bechdoldt on May 14, 1956. Following their marriage they lived in California before settling in Prague. Virginia ran a home daycare for many years, touching many lives.

She was a member of the Vine Street Baptist Church. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, and gardening. Above all she loved spending time with her family.

Virginia was survived by her children, T. Mark Bechdoldt of Prague, NE, Mattheu Lee Bechdoldt of Omaha, NE, Brenda Lee Finley (Michael) of Kodiak, AK, and David L. Thompson (Brooke) of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Jared Bechdoldt, Ashli Bollinger, Kyle Bechdoldt, Kelly Bechdoldt, Jacob Finley, Nathan Finley, Kaleb Finley, Hannah Finley, and Chad Bechdoldt

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Bechdoldt; brothers, Carl E. Thompson and Jackie Dale Thompson; and granddaughter, Lila Finley.
