Zola I. Fiscus, 83, of Wahoo, NE, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Saunders Medical Center LTC in Wahoo, NE. She was born June 30, 1939 in Stuart, NE to William and Francis (Shufeldt) Bahr. Zola graduated from DeWitt High School in 1956.
Zola was a lifelong Husker fan who enjoyed puzzles, cooking and baking her famous cinnamon rolls. Zola loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Timothy D. Fiscus, Dale L. Fiscus Jr., Corina Wemhoff and Daniel C. (Shelly) Fiscus; 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Francis Bahr; sister, Velda Davis; great-grandson, Konnor Fiscus; son-in-law, Kenneth Wemhoff; and ex-husband, Dale Fiscus, Sr.
Corina and family! I am so sorry for your loss. Our mama’s are so very special to us. I know you loved spending time with her always. I remember spending time with your mom, family and Velda in Fremont. You have suffered so many losses. My heart goes out to you! Take care!
Ollie (therapy dog) and I loved our visits with Zola. I was always so impressed with all of her crafts. She loved talking about her family and how proud she was of all of you. She was so fun to talk to and would always bring a smile to our faces. Her and Ollie shared quite the bond. We will miss her so much!! Prayers to all of you as you remember such an amazing woman!
I’m so sorry to hear of Zola’s passing. She was a sweet lady and I have many fond memories of her while growing up next door. My heart is with your family during this sad time. God Bless.
